The liver is an absolutely amazing organ. It is the major organ of digestion and assimilation that helps provide vital nutrients to keep the body healthy and repairs diseased and damaged tissues. The liver helps to eliminate wastes from food and environmental toxins as well. Our fast paced lives and fast food diets burden the liver with many stresses. Some of the major stressors include fried foods, hydrogenated oils, processed foods and foods with additives and preservatives, alcohol, drugs/medicines, as well as environmental toxins like pesticides, chemicals and cleaning compounds.
